Every X5 can have navigation. There is a retro-fit kit available from BMW. No new dash required.

I have no experience with the Rover Mk3. Insist on a BMW Mk3. Tghe Mk4 and Mk3 are plug-and-play exchangable.

2hrs for install sounds far too fast. The BMW retro-fit instructions state approx 8 hours and that is for a BMW workshop with tools and experience!

Remember - a new cable loo has to be fitted from the radio at the front to the nav unit location at the back; you have to remove seats, lift carpet, remove boot lining etc. Takes time.

Cheers, Jochen
