SERVICE UPDATE:

Dropped off the car last night and drove around the lot with the tech. He acknowledged the squeaky steering sound and admitted that it is VERY common in X5's, but this was the first he had heard it in the X3. Getting fixed today. Also, they informed me of a Bluetooth recall on my X--who knows, maybe my Samsung non-compatable phone will work now? No promises.

LOANER: 2007 White/Tan 328xi, 7 miles on odometer (tried to pair my bluetooth phone and it worked right away)

Oh yeah, one other thing, $1185 for 100,000 miles extended full maintenance through Erhard BMW of Bloomfield Hills. Sounds VERY reasonable, considering a full brake job is probably 800.
