I make dvd's of all our holidays etc with motion menu's, intro screens, with photos blended in as stills. Everything I use has come from this
site here.
Go to tools, (in the red 'lists' section) then select 'authoring dvd' from the subjects in red. You'll then see some 40 or so different programs you can use that have a description, link to download, reviews (if any) and price/freeware details.
There are also a lot of tutorials on how to use these programs or to use a combo to get what you want.
The forum is a great resource for advice if you want to browse....
