I love my Eclipse. This is the 2nd car that I've bought this unit for. I sold my first Eclipse in my old 350z, I had to have it again in my X5. For the price you can't go wrong. No unit can touch the features this Eclipse has for $1000. Never had a problem with the GPS loosing signal. I love the Phone numbers feature that allows me to find the number of my favorite resturants on the fly and place an order for carry out. Also the dual slot is a great feature. It has plenty on A/V inputs and out put for extra TV's and or rear camera.

As far as wiring goes I believe that you can just buy a wiring harness for the non DSP X5. Should just plug and play. All the wires are located behind the OEM unit. Just check with a local Car Audio dealers for more info on that. But the actual fitment is beautiful. It's like the dash was made to accept a Double Din headunits.
