Tail light quick fix
The rear tail light is infamous for collecting condensation, that corrodes the metal hard wires powering the 2 leads into the Socket. I didnt want to spend $250 plus on new housing.
I bought a new plastic socket and soldered two wires to each of the metal strips below the contacts on the socket. I then ran the wires about an inch and half from the original contact point ( the part of the metal that was corroded ) to the top where the metal appeared to still be in good shape. I wrapped the wire around the metal 3 times and put a little solder on it.
Problem solved, no more brake light warning, break lights work great, Saved $250. That was 3 months ago and I have not had a problem since.
Let me know if I can help further!
