Search for the .ISO file instead of the MDF/MDS files, and use DiskUtility or Toast to burn the ISO. That's what I did to update a friend's E46 from v24 to v28.
On the other hand, if someone knows a way to edit the map files in the Mac, that would be perfect. On windows, there is an ISO editor that directly edits the ISO file. On the Mac, I know nothing like this. But if I copy the files into my harddisk and then try to burn a DVD, I can't burn the right format suitable for the car - it's not UDF, it's not ISO-9660+Joliet, it's not the original ISO-9660, so I'm kind of stuck with a windows machine everytime I want to update my own POIs or the latest radar files.
