I tried v23 beacuse I was not sure if it was a version problem or a disk burning problem, so I tried changing both. I read two possible methods for ejecting the stuck disk:
1) Hold the eject button while turning the ignition on.
2) Disconnect the cable from the unit then hold the eject button while reconnecting the unit.

Hopefully this will work. I know it scared the crap out of me when the screen went blank/flickering.
