MatzoballsX5 - I see from your eBay auction that you have Colorado plates. Be careful with your transaction. There may be some costs that you are not aware of when the buyer goes to register the vehicle in California. If you moved to California, you're were obligated to register the X5 with Cali plates once you got a job or enrolled in school. If a long length of time has elapsed since the time you started working or going to school, there might be a late fee for not having registered your truck.

One of my colleagues at work transferred in from another part of the country. He drove his car (registered in Georgia) for nearly half a year in Cali before going to the DMV. He paid $800 for his registration for a 3 year old Mercedes which probably should have been around $400 had he paid on time.

Check out the DMV website. Make sure you cover these details with your buyer so there's no surprises.
