Warranty expired at 4 yrs with 38K miles on it. Thought about buying an extended warranty and decided to "take a chance" and apply the warranty cost to future issues that might come up. Currently at 50K a year later with no major issues. The one thing that is in back of my mind is the dreaded "Trans Fail Safe" and some of the transmission problems/failures that I've read about.
