The only way to get people in this forum to think logically about issues in other countries seems to be to use analogies to things in our own country. Otherwise the comments written seem to be bias, imply double standards, etc.
The great thing about history is that history repeats itself. Whatever situation presents itself in the world today, you can bet that the same situation has presented itself before many many times. And you can learn a lot from the past. Being that your dad is a history professor, I'm sure you know that.
