Ike, Ike, Ike... it sounds like you are describing the paint touch up stick you can get for ~15 bucks at the dealership. I assume that you will then proceed to dab a glob of paint into the chip and follow with wax and polish.... UGHHHH
Or you can do it the right way... which I know in advance you will hate, due to the length of time and effore... but here it goes...
