the focus on the uneducated in the United States has dumbed down our whole society...personally I have basically shut off mainstream media...I listen to satellite radio to avoid ads and local crap on the news...BBC and bloomberg for my news feeds
It is not that the educated don't care about the world it is that the stupid, and uneducated (creators of the term "ugly american") which unfortunately are a larger majority care more about Paris Hilton or some other dumbshit then what is going on in international affairs. It is a sad state of affairs and one that causes us a lot of trouble internationally but once again it is the whole face value mentality...people decide to hate americans based on thier own views of who we are and what we believe in....they are no better than our president at that point just ignorant, and intent on forcing thier beliefs on others....I have no time for that in my own country and internationally it should be no different....just like that typical frat boy mentality of "if a gay guy ever hit on me I would kick his ass" it is all just bullshit posturing and rehetoric that gets nowhere.
