I'm getting ready to do an experiment that may or may not have been tried.
Currently I have the XM Direct unit with the Blitzsafe adapter. Stupid here didn't order the pass through unit up front. Don't really ever use CD's, expecially since the satellite radio thing. Now, I'm in the market for a new computer and the iMac G5 has caught my eye. Being a student, I can get a pretty good discount on the mac and 180 rebate on an iPod.
With the Dension unit connected in the trunk or behing the radio, they say you lose the CD changer or whatever you have hooked up. I called Blitzsafe and turns out that all you have to do to add the pass through to the adapter is pop the cover off and plug the wires in (wires on the way now). I should be able to plug the Icelink into the pass through wires and the radio should pick it up as usual while still being able to use the XM.
Any thoughts on this or has anyone else tried it before I order the Icelink?
