crosvs is on a distinguished road
this isn't meant as an insult, but can somebody PLEASE explain to me where the fun factor is in watching nascar?

i've tried. tried. and tried again, but to no avail: the cars just go in circle after endless circle!!

the other reason i prefer f1 is because

(a) its the pinnacle of autmotive engineering;

(b) it requires precision of vehicular control second only to a fighter pilot;

(c) the physical rigors and training necessary to properly pilot an F1 car are on par with olympic athletes (anyone see the documentary on how Renault train their drivers?!), once and for all proving that driving a car really can be a proper "sport";

(d) it's an international sport;

(e) it's very prestigious, e.g., VERY few men (women?) will ever be good enough to drive an F1 car. Also, it's historically fascinating: the Monaco GP, at least, started back in 1904(?), with attendance limited only to members of the Royal family. Which kinda gives F1 an automatic pimpness factor totally absent from nascar lol

and, FWIW, there MUST be something to it: it's the most popular sport in the world, each race averaging a viewership second only to the olympic games and soccer's world cup. to wit: schumacher was oscillating with tiger woods for highest paid man in the world the past few years, which at least provides economic validation of how high in demand (popularity) the sport is.
