As an aside, I was in Naples a few years back in November on business. I really loved the area! I enjoyed walking the pier after dark and had the opportunity to wade into the Gulf at 3am with a few of the locals ('nuf said about that) and enjoy some of the eateries. My last night there, I went to a small party at a house in a neighborhood rumored to be home (or one of the homes) of Shania Twain. The party was held in one of those over-the-top lanais you mentioned. Nice.
All in all, a splendid time. You have a great town in which to retire!
