thanks for the replies. i'm assuming the thin coax i should be plugging into my MKIV is the one wrapped together with the old antenna that went to my trimble unit, correct?

when i plug that in, i get "recerr" on my hidden menu display. if i want to check the other end of that antenna, where does it run to? All I can see is that i runs towards the front of the car into a rubber grommet and i can't get past that. is there anything else i can check?
