Don't sweat the 1080p vs 1080i thing. Even with a Blu Ray or HD DVD player there will be absolutely no difference in the picture with proper deinterlacing when watching film (24 fps) or video (30 fps) based material. The only situation where it makes a difference is with computers or game consoles that can output at higher than 30 fps.
