Still no luck on it. To test the system, I put in the BMW Nav CD, it came out each time I pushed eject.

When I tried again to update with v23, the system made the same noises as before, the CD would spin, but it didn't seem like it was reading the disc. I used clone CD this time, burned it at 1X to the same end result: black screen, which flickers occasionally, and the radio/CD shuts off within 3 mins.

I disconnected the battery for 2 mins and tried it all over again, hoping it might reset to the previous v17.1, still nada.

One interesting thing is now happening however...the CD will continue to play even though the audio shuts off. I was playing Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life" and it cut off during "Sir Duke" and by the time I got back up to the cockpit to turn it on again after manually winding out the v23 CD, it was in the middle of "Knocks Me Off My Feet", about 6 mins. later.

I guess I'll have a steak and try it again in awhile.
