Here's another viewpoint on V1 though. Sure, Steve Valentine engineers a great performing product. It's just the ID that sucks. Kind of like the perfect, not so attractive woman. Super cool, but oof her grill is jacked up. If Steve Valentine put some money into some good industrial design and actually made the V1 LOOK good, it'd sell much better. I won't buy it just for the looks alone. So archaic. Looking at the performance vs. $$, the Passport 8500 and the new 9500 (I'm guessing on the latter) is a great competing product IMO. I currently own an 8500 X50. If I ever step up however, it will be a laser diffuser front/rear concealed setup vs placing the unit in the windshield. It's the only defense against Laser which is becoming more prominent these days. Once you get hit, you're SOL.
