Go for the tunit box. I fitted one after 5000 miles and have had it in the car for the last 10000 miles - fantastic! Loads more power and smoother delivery + a couple of mpg more. My local BMW dealer just turn a blind eye to it - the car is just over a year old now - it's the best £500 I've ever spent. There are 9 settings - mines on 7. Giving me an extra 30Bhp or so (from 218, now to almost 250Bhp).
