I am not sure if all understood what I did.
I mounted a car dvd-player into the onbord-monitor housing. Thats just the
place where I put it.
It's not wired with the BMW monitor in any way.
Thick and good shielded AV cables run back through the car into the trunk where they are connected to the TV-Tuner.
So, in DVD mode, I have the same user interface, menus, OSD, ...etc like a DVD-player connected to a television at home.
