Ok, I think I have a better understanding now. Simply put, all you did is house the dvd player in the bordmonitor chasis. with no interconnection whatsoever. Mounting the DVD player upfront is just for the ease of use, like changing Cds, DVDs etc. Whoaaa, this is still interesting.

I suspect that you are using the cassette audio signal path to get the audio out of the player. I guess my next question would be, how are you getting the DVD video signal to display on the bordmonitor? Auxilarry input? TV Module? Hoemade switching system?

I do apologize if my questions seem confusing. I am still in amazed by the setup.
