Of course these cars never became street legal, although I often wondered how a cop would know the difference if he caught you driving down the road in one. The dealer had them behind a 8 ft. wooden fence (which I had to climb to get a peek at them) in their back lot just sitting outside with 4 inches of snow covering them. I always wondered why they left them outside considereing even back then they had a sticker price of apprx. $400,000
