I just test drove an '02 X5 3.0i with about 76,000 miles (the delivery date was 6/25/02). It has one owner (all service records are intact) and it was a local trade. The dealer wants about $22,000-USD for the vehicle. They've recently replaced the tires and battery. The service records show that routine maintenance (including Inspection 1) was performed and the instrument cluster was replaced due to dead pixels in 2005. It has the premium, cold weather, and rear climate packages. Overall, the vehicle appears to be in very good shape. I've got a few questions for the x5perts, what would be a fair price for the car? I'm going to have my mechanic look over it next week, what should I tell him to look for regarding buyer-beware problem areas? Please be as specific as possible.
