The beam pattern is different. For RHD there is higher part of the beam to illuminate road signs etc. to the right of the vehicle. For LHD that higher part is to the left.
In order to prevent dazzeling other drivers you will have to aim your lights extra low. Too low to be of proper use for you.
I have an example of a Japenese X5 headlight that has an extra lever that modifies the beam pattern to "flat-top" to allow the vehicle to be used in RHD areas without problem.
