kevn,
Slightly confused here, even though I think I know the warr.
details pretty well...from your info, the CPO warr already "on"
the car you are looking at, runs until Feb of next year or 28K
miles from delivery. Not a long time frame in either situ.

The "4 year / 48,000 mile for 2700 bucks" sounds like an extended
maintenance program offered by BMW. If so, that covers service,
maintenance, wear, expendable items, oil changes, etc. It does
not cover warranty items. I know this is teeth grinding stuff; BMW
does it on purpose, I'm convinced.

Back to that CPO Warr.: it covers lots of stuff, but not everything like
the original warranty does...and, the clock is ticking on that coverage.
Some stlrs charge the $50 deductible on each CPO warr. take-in trip,
some don't. Stlr should give you a detailed list of coverages and
exclusions...it is also on BMW NA site, in detail.

As for taking car in and saying "fix it", it won't happen unless the Stlr
is your brother or dad.

Remember CPO is warranty repairs, but not as smooth or complete
coverage as original warr. And, "Maintinance coverage" is for
service, wear items, non-warr. items, etc. They are 2 different
species.

Hope this helps,
GL,mD
