my used 2001 is at 68,300 miles - it originally was a lease car for the 1st 36,000 miles - the 2nd owner only drove it <6,000 miles - I have to assume that the brakes and tires were replaced at the end of the lease, as tread and brakes are still good - (lots of interstate miles, though) - after the initial work I had done after just buying it in June,2005 (mostly for piece of mind), except for bulbs & sockets, I've had error free driving for the last 15 months - I did have the water pump replaced as preventative maintenance last April - Sorry to hear of your problems - I get the impression from members of this website that if you have problems, you have alot of problems; and then others of us are lucky to have very reliable rides.
