Check out Autogeek.net they have everything you need. I have a heated garage to work in this time of year and just finished two weeks of detailing. Five step proccess of polish, fine and ultra fine swirl remover, finishing glaze and carnauba wax. Six rolls of blue tape and two weeks (evenings & weekends) the difference was amazing. I'm not a pro but it wood have cost twice as much if it was detailed in that way by a pro. The porter cable polisher/buffer and the right cutting pads make all the difference. I have always done it myself since 1982 but with the new tools, polishes and waxes the results are incredible. You will get more out of doing it yourself.
