I apologize and realize I misspoke about the "white man is the devil" thing. I don't believe I have the "they are all the same" attitude but I can see how it could seem that way. The point I was trying to make (and not very articulately I might add) is that the impression I get form Al Sharpton is one of anger and blame and truthfully, resentment. Like why is Obama invited to the party and I'm not? As well as the belief that he doesn't push the line Sharpton wants him to push.

Is that right? I don't know however I do believe he is wrong in his beliefs towards Obama. If he was critsizing his stand on our involvement in Afganistan or on his beliefs about where we need to focus our attention in the international arena that's one thing but him saying basically that Obama isn't black enough to consider himself a "black man" is obsurd. I just don't think there is anything inclusive or integrated about that statement. If anything it looks to me as if he is excluding him.

"Just because you are our color doesn't make you our kind."

If I were Obama, that statement would make me feel anything but included.
