I got tired of fighting mine so it has been removed permanently for quite a while. It also rattled which drove me nuts. FYI, I have the '02 version which is not as good as the '03 and newer roll-up cargo cover. There is a retrofit possible but it's not worth it to me.

My cargo cover is damaged too because those stupid geared ends would not go back into the block so some teeth got broken off. I wonder if the dealer would consider replacing it under warranty just in case I decide I want to use it again.
