Your call 1/16" or 1.5 mm. It makes no difference how it's measured It's still called "manufacturing tolerances." It has no relation to nationality of the guy or girl turning the wrench. If you want to blame someone blame the BMW engineer who has decided on the manufacturing tolerances.
