I can't think of a single German vehicle that would have higher reliability than it's Japanese counterpart. They're looking at things from the pov, which vehicle does everything well.
That being said, I would buy a 5-Series instead of an M-Series, etc etc. CR based on the mainstream consumer, not the enthusiast.
