Yes it does.
Our government considered groups like the
Southern Christian Leadership Conference (Martin Luther King Jr's organization) and the
African National Congress (Nelson Mandella's organization) to be terrorist organizations. Yet they never considered groups like
Irgun,
CORU and
Alpha 66 to be terrorist organizations.
They can call whomever they want a terrorist, and by these new laws they can arrest you, and detain you for as long as they want without ever telling anyone that you are being held, and without ever charging you with a crime or giving you an opportunity to prove your innocence.
