A visible change in the V29.1 - window size
It is currently being discussed what changes V29.1 really offer

I have found one visible change on my MKIV system (fitted on a E46, 330). The split screen was previously (using V28) divided 50%/50%. This has changed with V29.1 to 60/40. This is an improvement as the map is placed in the bigger 60% window and the directions in the 40% window.
