There's always an advantage, though some updates may be internal fixes only. I am always a bit cautious about updating immediately, and usually wait until all the issues have been ironed out; I am running V.28 and 2007-1 Europa High DVD.

You need to be aware though that from V.27, there was a 'bug' introduced whereby in the RH description pane (the one that tells you where you are), you no longer get villages, suburbs etc detailed. - all you get is the closest major postal town. Annoys the hell out of me, and BMW have confirmed it will be in the next update (which should be V.29) but it looks like it isn't!
