I'm still looking for a new car for wifey, although don't really need until fall or so, but will go for something now if something good comes along.

Aside from her personal use, she carts around the 2 kids each day (3 and 6 yrs old-full time mom). She says she would prefer a car over an SUV (too big for her she feels), and is sick of driving a wagon (Passat wagon). She needs AWD due to the fact we live in Maine.

Have considered a E90 325xi, although not sure when it will be available. A comparably priced (actually slightly less) Infiniti G35X would be equipped nicely, including HID's, upgraded stereo w/sub, DVD based nav, Sirius radio, and more (than included in that simalarly priced e90 (between $39-40k)).

I have 2 bimmers and am certainly partial to them-wifey likes them as well. But the G35x seems like a nice ride for the $$$.

Oh, by the way, safety/crash ratings is HUGE! My family rides in it...

Any 2 cents on this vehicle/situation? Anyone have any info on the reliability (short & long term) on these vehicles? TIA
