I just got this problem solved. What happened is when the mirrors are in their normal position and for whatever reason are forced open or closed it throws of the calibration. In my case another car clipped me in the parking lot, however the dealer just replaced both of my mirrors under warranty and they work perfectly now. I love BMW. lol
