The states' CE requirements are a necessary evil. Without them, the Cruise lines as well as resorts in the Carribean would lose income. On a more serious note, it is great to get together with old colleagues and see what is new in your particular field. Fullfilling these requirements in the Dominican Republic in January while the Northeast is covered by cold and snow is an added plus.
