Funny you should mention that. My brother has a big ol' male Akita and he's got the dog on a raw meat diet and since switching, supposedly the excrement is a fraction of the size.

I think that most commercial pet foods are full of fillers and that's what is getting excreted. If a dog is getting pure protein it should absorb most of it and thus the end result, pardon the pun, is smaller piles.
