Very interesting. According to the ETK and Realoem, they are shown in the parts graphic, but the part numbers are not specified for the antennas for anything other than E46's. So according to the way the ETK works, it basically means they do not apply to those cars. In any case, my curiosity is if you retrofit a BMW tv tuner setup in your car (X5) and it doesn't come with a tv amplifier should you get this part and install it anyway?

My car came with the antenna amps, so I do not know how much different the reception is without the amps. They are very easy to install. The simply screw into the C-Pillar, and they have a little wire pigtail that connects to the diversity antenna amp. Then the TV antenna cable simply connects to the TV antenna amp.
