Pairing e70 w/ KRZR
Nevermind.. I'm a noob.
I'm generally not that technically challenged, and my only defense is that this is my first time w/ an iDrive System.
I should have read the manual word for word vs. skimming it and looking at the 'pretty pictures'.
My mistake:
After entering a passkey, and since the right arrow (which points left) is 'backspace', I kept selecting the top left arrow as "enter" not realizing the phrase "Confirm Passkey" was an 'option' vs. a statement/direction.
The eureka came to me as I remembered doing something similar w/ the address book and wondering why it wouldn't save.
Anyways, if this helps another noob, then great.... but if it's painfully obvious, then just delete this dumb post.

Hi,
Been lurking for awhile during my wait on delivery. Now that I have the vehicle, I've had quite a bit of difficulty in pairing my KRZR w/ the e70.
Generally, the steps I've taken are as follows:
- w/ the iDrive menu at the Bluetooth/Phone menu
- I search for devices on the phone
- "BMW#####" comes up as being detected (where # is a digit.. can't remember off hand now)
- I try to connect to this 'device'
- the vehicle recognizes the phone trying to pair and asks to accept or reject
- once accepting, I am required to enter a 'code' through the iDrive system
- this is where the problem occurs... I have no idea what code I should be using. I know there's the phone's default code of 0000 but that doesn't work (it is a new out of box phone so I haven't changed a thing)
Previous BT pairings on other devices (past experiences) generally requires one device to choose a code and the connecting device to match the same code. However, on the phone, there's no place to "set" the code....
I'm at a loss... and I'm not sure whether this would be better suited on a cellphone forum, but.. whatever you guys can help with, is much appreciated.
Thanks
