Greetings from Germany!

DH and I ordered our first BMW in March (4.8i X5 Deep Green Metallic w/tobacco Nevada interior, 20 in. wheels, and lots of other goodies).

We originally had a June build date, but our salesman called us recently, and gave us a tenative May build slot...although we still probably won't see delivery until Sept/Oct, we're excited!

We went to the official German X5 introduction at our local dealer last weekend, and they had five SAVs in the showroom. (We both thought the Space Gray was beautiful and really tempting, however in Germany every vehicle on the road seems to be black/gray/silver, so we decided to stick with the beautiful Deep Green we originally chose. Monaco blue is gorgeous, too!).

We went back yesterday to check out the 'dark bamboo' trim again, and now there are only two left...all the vehicles with the 20 in. wheels were gone! Also, the only V8 they had was sold...I thought the diesels would be the first to go around here.

I'm learning so much by reading all your posts, I wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Now I just need a cool avatar...
