Are you saying that there are some cables going to the existing X1313 blue connector on the navigation computer that need to remain in place? Therefore its not a case of simply removing the exsisting harness plug and replacing it with the new one?
Are you saying to remove the X1313 connector from the new harness and wire it to the relevant pins (7,16,5,14,6,15,12,1,3) on the existing harness connector, thus leaving the original conector and some of the original wiring in place?

This confuses me slightly ! Connector X18801 is the blue plug that is currently connected to my old mono headunit. This plug will connect to the blue socket on the new widescreen display.
What you are saying suggests that I need to re-wire this connector. Is it not plug and play?Perhaps you could explain what you mean. I have no drawing of my old navigation so I have no idea how any of the existing cables are wired. I'm working under the assumption that my existing harness has the blue plug (X18801) wired to the Radio module in the same way the new widescreen necessitates.

This is simply a cable going from pin 12 on X18801 to pin 12 on X18802 right ?
