I would agree. When I was breaking in my 2004 M3, I went in for service at 2000KM. After that point, I have religiously when in for oil changes every 7500KM (good call AznMpower). Mind you, I drive that car the way it was meant to be driven. In my mind, its a small price to pay to keep the engine going strong and it pans out on resale. I certainly would shy away from purchasing a pre-owned BMW where someone followed the 25000KM service interval.
With the new X5 I have purchased, I will pay for the 2000KM service, as well as changes every 7500km once again.
