If you hung a sheepskin from RPI on your wall anywhere in the N. East US you'ld be immediately regarded as a well educated individual. Get a hold of the undergrad review books with the SAT requirements to get into RPI, you'll see that they are very exclusive. When I got out of HS I had a pretty damn good "resume" but I got wait listed at RPI but got into Syracuse, Cornell, Brown and Binghamton... That should tell you something about RPI.
