New question. The -114 part number is apparently going for $720 these days...ouch. I assume that this is the combo Bluetooth/BMW Assist '05 part.

Oddly enough, the stealer says I need part # 84 21 6 934 552, which only retails for $435. I'm not planning on coughing up the ~$250/year for Assist once mine runs out...is there any reason not to get the cheaper part?

If you are not planning to use Assist then getting the Visteon module should work just fine. The -552 is a bit old, as it's the first generation module and BMW is now up to the seventh generation (see http://www.xoutpost.com/articles.php?...icle&artid=171 for the version history). If you can, try finding one a bit newer in vintage.

You can find additional info on this conversion at http://www.xoutpost.com/articles.php?...ticle&artid=23

Good Luck!!
