I have not gotten my copy yet, but I assume there is an article in this month's magazine about the "Romantische Strasse," or "Romantic Road." The Romantische Strasse is a beautiful, two-lane road that winds itself through southern Bavaria. It starts on the outskirts of Munich, and it ends in Austria -- in a GORGEOUS, VERY old, lake-side town named Lindau. If you ever get a chance to drive it, do so. It's a leisurely, three-hour drive or so... you'll see some wonderful (romantic, some would say) scenery, and even
Crazy Ludwig's Castle (Newschwanstein), which -- by the way -- was the inspiration for Walt Disney's "castle."
If you're so inclined,
click this linky thingy for pics of our trip there a couple years ago....
