I know it sounds that way, but that's exactly what happened to me; I was given a build week long before the car went into production. There may be a projected start date used internally; they just don't tell the customer. One day I spoke with a rep on the 800 # and was told that I was "scheduled for production" with the build week; the next day I was on the phone with my CA (about something else) and during the call I was told "Guess what? Your X5 went into production today."

Call your CA, who can tell you immediately (or as fast as he can look up your order on the computer) what the status is.
