JBHorner is on a distinguished road
I picked mine up today after having Sirius installed. I have to tell you, I've never seen so much drama surrounding an installation of the Sirius radio. They had the vehicle a total of four business days because of this. It was all because the software refused to see it. As I was reading the notes on the RO, I just shook my head. Problems with "enabling codes" for the Sirius unit, using "SSS" called "PUMA," etc. These people use more acronyms than I do at work...which is pretty bad.

But I digress. Back on topic. They updated my software as well. Now I have no RTTI. And I am 100% certain I had it before I took it in, as my passenger was playing with it on the way to the dealer before it went in for the Sirius installation.

But, now it's gone. When I look at it, it says "transfering data" or something like that. But it never does anything. No plus sign next to the TI. I have a subscription to a service on my cell phone that has worked for a couple of years, so I'm not completely in the dark. But I'm not going to wait a long time to get a feature back that was (and is) a selling point of the vehicle.

The software problems are very amateurish to me. It must go through very poor quality assurance processes. I do like the new map colors, and I do like the more snappy iDrive interface. But I want my darn real-time traffic information back!!!

By the way, if VR is voice recognition, I still have that--at least for the functions I used it for on the way home. (Menus, radio.) I didn't use it with Navigation, however.

So, like the rest of you, I wait to get my RTTI back.

Joel
