Inner city crime is part of the US. You cannot seperate it out. I'm sure most of the murders in those other countries also take place in the inner city ghettos. I don't see you trying to seperate that out for those countries. If you are right in your analysis, then the rural murder rate in the US is indeed less than or about equal to the overall murder rate in some other countries. I don't know what such an analysis would prove though.

0.019633 per 1,000 people

United States:
0.042802 per 1,000 people


As you can see from these numbers, the US murder rate is more than double of any of those other countries listed, and about 10 times as high as Japan. What do you think is the reason for this?
